Parent Information for Babysitter Registry

A Trusted Local Resource for Families

Whether you’re new to Whitesboro or just need a reliable sitter, the Heart of Whitesboro Babysitter Registry connects local families with trustworthy, trained babysitters in our area.

This free community service is designed to give parents peace of mind while supporting local teens and young adults who love working with kids.

❤️How It Works

  1. Babysitters Apply and Are Screened
Each babysitter in the registry completes an application form that includes:

    • Personal and contact info

    • Availability and age preferences

    • Babysitting experience

    • Certifications (like CPR, First Aid, etc.)

    • References from non-family adults

    • All sitters under 18 must have parent/guardian approval to participate.

  2. Parents View the List
After reviewing list of candidates, simply reach out to the sitter’s parent or guardian to arrange an interview or job opportunity.

  3. You Choose Who to Contact
Heart of Whitesboro does not assign or match sitters—we simply provide the list. You contact and interview any babysitter you feel might be a good fit for your family. You set the rate, the expectations, and the schedule.

  4. Stay Informed
    We encourage families to:

    • Request references before hiring

    • Ask sitters about comfort levels and limits

    • Discuss allergies, routines, house rules, and emergency plans

    • Keep communication open with both sitter and their parent (if under 18)

❤️ Why This Matters

We believe that Whitesboro is stronger when neighbors help neighbors. The Babysitter Registry is one way we can:

  • Support responsible youth in town

  • Help families find safe, local help

  • Build trust and connection in our community
