The Heart of Whitesboro Babysitter Registry is a free, community-based resource to help local families connect with trained, reliable babysitters. Our goal is to support families in need of childcare while also helping responsible local youth gain experience and opportunities.
Eligibility Requirements for Sitters
Minimum Age:
- Must be at least 12 years old to register.
Required Training (at least one of the following):
- Whitesboro Fire Department Babysitter Course
- Red Cross Babysitter’s Training
Preferred (but not required):
- Recent babysitting experience (e.g., siblings, neighbors)
- Two character references (not family)
Other Requirements:
- Must live in or near the Whitesboro area.
- Must have parent/guardian permission if under 18.
- Must agree to maintain professionalism and open communication with parents.
Heart of Whitesboro is not responsible for sitter behavior or any issues arising from arrangements. It is the responsibility of families to interview, screen, and supervise their sitters appropriately. All contact and arrangements are made directly between the family and the babysitter.
